Lemvig Maskin & Køleteknik ApS has many years experience in producing extendable gangways to the Danish offshore wind turbine industry. At Lemvig Maskin & Køleteknik ApS we offer specially designed gangways to each jack-up vessel. The extendable gangways are made of seawater resistant aluminum and are available with electric or hydraulic motor for extend- and retract the gangway. The mechanical parts are made so that they require a minimal of maintenance and are extremely reliable. The electrical parts has an IP value at 66. This is to provide maximum protection of the parts, because we know what conditions they are exposed to at the open sea. All engines are available with built-in heater to ensure that the equipment also is available for use in extremely cold temperatures. The extendable gangways are designed to create secure connection between the turbine foundation and the jack-up vessel. The gangways are equipped with steps that make landing safe in working angle from 0° to ± 30°. All offshore gangways are equipped with fixed railings, with a minimum height of 1.5 m from walking surface.
